Heartbeat show to lift the spirits
A host of star names took to the stage of The Mayflower theatre in Southampton to raise money for a local charity. The Oddballs, Brian Conley and Gary Wilmot are among those who agreed to perform on November 27 2005 to raise money for the Wessex Heartbeat charity.

The Oddballs, Brian Conley and Gary Wilmot was joined by Kevin Orkian and his one man piano comedy show and the impressionist Hilary O'Neil.

Laughter From The Heart was a one-off performance staged by Michael Rose Ltd, whose directors Michael Rose and David Morgan are supporters of Wessex Heartbeat.

It was the fourth show held at The Mayflower to benefit the charity, which supports the Wessex Cardiac Centre.

The last show produced for Wessex Heartbeat was Swing From The Heart in 2002, which raised more than 50,000.

It is hoped that this year's show will exceed that figure - thanks to a major sponsorship deal with Skandia.
